Event Launch FAQ
1. When and where is the Event Launch?
The Event Launch will be held on Thursday, 23 June 2011 at Raffles Place Park (7 Raffles Place, Singapore 048625), which is in front of Chevron House, from 11:00 am to 04:00 pm.
2. Will there be registration for the SCMS 2011 at the Event Launch?
Yes, there will be on-site registration for the SCMS 2011 at the Event Launch, from 11:00 am to 04:00 pm on 23 June 2011.
3. What are the benefits of registering for the SCMS 2011 at the Event Launch?
The first 100 participants who register at the Event Launch will be entitled to a premium goodie bag worth approximately S$800, which includes premiums and vouchers from the Organiser and sponsors.
In addition, the next 900 participants who register at the Event Launch will receive an exclusive goodie bag worth approximately S$400.
These complimentary goodie bags are only applicable to the first 1,000 registrants of the SCMS 2011 at the Event Launch.
4. Can I collect the free goodie bag on behalf of my friends or family members if they are not with me in the queue?
No. The goodie bags will be issued to the first 1,000 registrants of the SCMS 2011 at the Event Launch, on a first-come-first-serve basis, regardless of the number of registration forms submitted per registrant.
5. Can I leave the queue after a number tag is issued to me?
No. The first 100 registrants on-site with the number tags will have to be in the queue in order to qualify for the receipt of the premium goodie bags.
6. Will the free goodie bags be available after the Event Launch?
No. The goodie bags are only exclusive to the first 1,000 registrants of the SCMS 2011 at the Event Launch.
7. Will I be entitled to the free goodie bag if I have already registered online or otherwise?
No, the goodie bags are only a one-time promotion in conjunction with the Event Launch for the first 1,000 registrants on-site, regardless of the number of registration forms he/she has submitted.
8. What are the modes of payment for registration at the Event Launch? Will there be any special discounts for Standard Chartered Bank cardholders and/or participants of the inaugural SCMS last year?
Cash and credit card payments are acceptable for registration at the Event Launch.
As a form of appreciation towards participants of the inaugural SCMS last year, they will receive 20% discount for both cash and credit card payments.
Participants will be able to receive 15% discount if they are Standard Chartered Bank cardholders, for credit card registration only.
Participants who hold a People’s Association (PA) PAssion Card will also receive 10% discount, for both cash and credit card payments.
Please allow at least seven (7) working days for the processing of registration forms. Participants will receive a race confirmation slip via email upon successful registration. The SCMS system will automatically allocate a unique Race ID to each participant as shown in their race confirmation slip.
9. What are the new race elements for the SCMS 2011?
More details and plans for the SCMS 2011 will be unveiled at the Event Launch, and and will be available online at www.marathonsingapore.com from 11:00 am onwards on 23 June 2011.
