- In order to receive the time bonus, the men's 1st placed runner will have to achieve a timing of sub 2:11 to receive US$10,000; the men's 2nd and 3rd placed runners with timings of sub 2:12 will receive US$5,000 each.
- The women's time bonus operates on the same principle above however different timings apply.
- Time bonus is not accumulative.
- Only applicable to Full Marathon (Open).
1.2 Incentive Scheme
- Total: US$10,000 (US$5,000 x 2 - Men and Women)
- The Champion's Fund is available to the 1st placed athlete in both the men and women's categories (Full Marathon only). Eligibility: The 1st placed athlete must receive the time bonus and return to race in SCMS 2011.
- The Champion's Fund is only applicable to the past year's champion winner for both the men and women Open categories (i.e. Only Champions from the SCMS 2011 who achieve time bonus can receive the Champion's Fund in SCMS 2012).
- Only applicable to Full Marathon (Open).
