Training Plans
A training plan should form the foundation of any runner’s race preparation. As a runner, it provides the structure you need to effectively develop your capacity in overcoming the distance both physically and mentally.
Our Official Training Partner, Racers’ Toolbox, has provided complimentary, detailed training plans for each of the below listed categories and levels. Each training plan will take participants through three key training phases and will include details on training volume, intensity and specifics for each session.
The training plans will be available for download on 12 August 2011, under the following categories:
5km TRAINING PLANS
This download includes the 2 day per week training plan and notes for 5km. It is suited to the beginner 5km runner who has 2 days per week to train.
