When does registration for the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (SCMS) 2016 start and end?

SCMS 2016 is open for registrations from 7 July 2016 onwards. Priority registrations start on 5 – 6 July 2016 for selected Standard Chartered Bank cardholders.  All registrations will end on 25 November 2016.

What are the modes of payment for registration?

Register online at https://register.marathonsingapore.com

ONLY credit/debit card payment by VISA and MasterCard is accepted. Participants will enjoy 15% discount for selected Standard Chartered Bank cards to register for the race. Only Standard Chartered cards from the following countries give right to the 15% discount: Bangladesh, Brunei, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

Do I need to fill up any relevant indemnity declaration form and require parental/guardian consent if I’m below the age of 18?

Yes, participants below the age of 18 are required to seek parental/guardian consent. They would need to fill up the relevant indemnity declaration forms in the online registration form failing which, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse race entry to the participant.

How will I know if my registration has been successful?

Participants will receive a Registration Confirmation slip via email upon successful registration. The system will automatically allocate a unique Registration ID to each successfully registered participant as shown in their Registration Confirmation slip. Please contact info@marathonsingapore.com if you do not receive this Confirmation email after registration.

If my email was being directed to my junk mail and was deleted before I can retrieve it, where can I retrieve my confirmation slip?

You can retrieve your race confirmation slip by logging in to your participant page using your email and password (created during the registration process) via www.marathonsingapore.com.

Why is it that I have not received my Registration Confirmation slip despite registering and making payment?

There could be a few reasons why you have not received your race confirmation slip:

  • Registration was not successful and therefore the Registration Confirmation slip was not rendered
  • There could have been an error in your email at the point of registration so the Registration Confirmation slip was not sent to the correct account
  • The email has been blocked by the mail server and/or is treated as spam mail

In such cases, you can check your registration status via www.marathonsingapore.com, reconfirm your email address and print the Confirmation slip through the system.

Please provide the following personal details to info@marathonsingapore.com in case of an error in the email address you have used during registration:

  • Participant’s Name
  • Participant’s NRIC/ Passport No.
  • Participant’s Race Category
  • Scanned copy of Participant’s NRIC / Passport

The Organising Committee will check and reply within seven working days.

Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after registration?

No. Registrations fees are non-refundable.

After registering for all the members in my team for the Ekiden category, can I add another member, remove a member or change one of the members in my team at a later date?

No. Race registrations are non-transferable.

Can I make changes to my particulars after submitting my registration?

No changes to particulars are allowed once registration is completed (exceptions may only be made for crucial details such as runner’s contact number/email). It is the responsibility of the runner to confirm these details before completing their registration.

Can I change my race category after submitting my registration?

Please refer to Clause 20 under Rules and Regulations for more information on change of running category.

Can I give up my race entry to someone else?

No. Race entries are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable.

Can I change the size of my Running Singlet after submitting my registration?

No, change of running singlet size is not allowed once you have selected your preferred size and confirmed your registration.

What are the sizes for the Running Apparel?

More information will be coming soon.

During registration, will I be able to select the size for my Finisher’s T-shirt* for SCMS 2016?

No. Finisher’s t-shirts will be available on a first-come first-served basis after the race. The running singlet size selection during registration process is not the indicative size availability of Finisher’s T-shirt on site.

*Only applicable for Marathon and Ekiden participants.

What is the difference between the Running Apparel and Finisher’s T-shirt?

All registered Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2016 participants will receive their Running Apparel as part of their race pack. The Finisher’s T-shirts, however, are only available to Full Marathon and Ekiden Team participants who have officially completed the race. Participants who are being diverted and/or have received DNF during the race (for any reason) will not be entitled for the Finisher’s T-shirt.
