Pacers Programme

The BMW Run Efficient Pacers Programme is designed to help you clock the time you are aiming for. Now you can run more efficiently, knowing that our Official Pacers will be keeping you at a steady speed to go the distance.

On race day, our Official pacers will be available for Full Marathon runners, for the below listed target finishing time (hh:mm) categories.

"We have goal in mind, and that is to ensure that all our pacers are ready to keep pace and to run on an even split strategy on race day to help many of you achieve the targets that you have set for yourself. All our pacers were selected from a pool of experience and committed individuals who like to share their joy of running with everybody. They have worked hard for the past 16 weeks to ensure that they deliver an enjoyable and memorable pacing experience for all runners, including themselves."

 


Ben Pulham (Official Trainer – Journey Fitness)

 

Age: 31

"Ben has been responsible for pacer training and with the help of Terence has conducted a 16 week training program designed specifically to have the pacers run even splits and to deliver on their stated pace times on 2 December. Ben comes from a background in elite triathlon where he represented New Zealand on the ITU World Cup Triathlon Series. Ben has won many local races including the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 10km, Swisshotel vertical marathon and Singapore biathlon."


How do I look out for the pacers on the race day?

It’s simple! All pacers will be carrying balloons of the colour representing their pace group so all you have to do is to spot the balloons when you are at the start line and join our pacers to follow their pace. These are the colours with the times that go with them:
